PERFECT!

I was just thinking about perfection... and what that exactly is.

Exhaustive knowledge?
Tireless Love?
Complete Selflessness?
Having all Power?
Self-sufficiency?

Will we be perfect in heaven? If so, how are we different than God? And, if we are perfect in heaven or "sinless", will certain realities be hidden from us because we will never be equal to God? If that is the case, then we still won't have perfect intimacy with God. If sin separates us from God, and there is no sin in heaven, then what other thing exists that keeps us from perfect unity with God?

Let me know please.

  1. I believe that humanity was created perfectly ie without flaw. I think it is as simple and as complicated as we want to make it, but if you look at the Garden of Eden...God, when done creating every aspect of our world (including the heavens and the earth) he said it was GOOD. Every aspect of creation was harmonious with every other aspect (people with animals, animals with vegetation etc). We ruined that, and continue to ruin that every day. How we did that is that we tried to imitate Gods knowledge by employing our senses; we ate and eat everyday that damned fruit. We then sensed distinction between you and me, us and them, that and this, clothed and not when there is only Truth and non-Truth. But keep in mind that when God created everything perfectly, before the Great Sin occurred, God was still our ruler. Our sin, I believe sin creates further separation but the hierarchy already existed....The truth of our existence is that we were CREATED not begotten (like Jesus) by God. We will be in unadulterated communion with Him in heaven, but we will never be Him.

So, all that to say, I don't believe that sin will exist in heaven. I believe that we will be re-introduced to perfection, as it was in Eden, when we are welcomed into heaven but this will not make us worth more or less (in a hierarchical sense) in the eyes of God.

    Word to the HERD!
